Hong Kong, 12 November 2009 – Today Volkswagen Hong Kong opens a new service centre in Sai Wan, delivering its commitment to meeting customer needs with quality after-sale services.
|
Mr. Till Scheer, Managing Director of Volkswagen Hong Kong, officiated the opening ceremony. Renowned artist Mr. Johnson Lee, the guest of honour, presented the service offerings and shared his own driving and servicing experiences. The ceremony was then followed by a media tour of the centre and demonstration of professional motor services introduced to the Hong Kong market directly from Volkswagen Germany.
|
"The new service centre is a testimony to our confidence in the Hong Kong market and our pledge to providing quality services to our customers, I believe that the centre will take Volkswagen's after-sale service capabilities to a higher level.” said Mr Scheer.

Supplementing Volkswagen's existing Tsuen Wan service centre, the new centre is conveniently located in Sai Wan, easily accessible from the Central district, Hong Kong Island East and Kowloon. It is expected to be warmly received by Volkswagen owners on the Hong Kong Island.
The 20,000-square-feet centre provides ample spaces with a simplistic, white décor which houses a customer lounge and a workshop. In line with the “Transparency” design concept from Volkswagen Germany, repair works in progress at the workshops are in full view through the floor glasses from the customer lounge, where a comfy cafe serves free drinks.
Also in line with the “Transparency” design concept is the unique “Dialogue Reception” service. Vehicles upon arrival are elevated by a lifting platform so that receptionists can perform preliminary inspection and explain suggested repair items to the customers. |
Professional vehicle inspection and repair works take place in the 11 workshops fully geared with state-of-the-art equipment and tools from Volkswagen Germany. One of the workshops is dedicated to servicing Phaeton, Volkswagen's premium class luxury saloon. Networked terminals allow technicians to obtain latest data and information directly from Volkswagen Germany for better diagnosis, while computer-controlled engine oil replacement ensures precise operation according to the vehicle's model and prevents harmful impurities mixed with engine oil.
